In this course, you will learn how to determine your topic, research details, write just about the facts, and learn how to take accurate notes. You will also learn how to use case studies, become knowledgeable in your subject matter, write your story, use proper references,  edit and revise your writing. Elements of Style

In this course, writers learn basic writing rules, including proper punctuation, grammar, writing style, using active voice, learning some do's and don'ts, and understanding often misused words and expressions, avoiding common pitfalls when writing. Creating Characters

This in-depth course offers writers an opportunity to learn how to create and develop characters, introduce characters in a story, add emotions to characters, understand how to deal with multiple points of view in writing, write dialogue, and create protagonists and antagonists. Writers will also learn to develop supporting characters, create conflict,  develop character motivation, realistic characters, build character relationships, and create character arcs and personality details. In this course, you will learn how to write from a Christian worldview, learn how to decide on your storyline, and show spiritual growth through struggles and trials. Plot & Structure

In this course, writers learn about plot, about story structure, how to explore plot ideas, how to develop a strong beginning, middle, and end to their storyline,  how to create realistic scenes, how to develop more complex plots, how to revise story plot, and learn some tips and tricks for plot and structure. Writing Tools

This in-depth writing course covers the nuts and bolts of writing. It focuses on teaching writers how to pay attention to character details, set the pace for their writing, create a purpose for writing, create a writing plan, and develop character traits. The course also helps writers develop foreshadowing in the storyline, generate suspense, create practical habits that work, learn how to reveal your character's personality through a series of mosaic details.

Children's Book Writing

 In this course, writers will learn about the different types of books written for young readers. You will learn about the history and what it takes to write for children. You will also learn how to prepare for a career writing for children, understand the importance of researching the marketplace for your book, and cultivate your ideas to create a story for your specific age group. This course also offers to help you write your storyline, find and consider an agent, how to cope with acceptance or rejection, and know your rights as a writer. Basic Writing

Everyone needs to know and understand the basics of writing before attempting their first published book, essay, article, or story.  In this course, you will learn some basic writing skills, including creating a hook, a basic understanding of things you should know before beginning to write, brainstorming, freewriting, mind-mapping, journaling, creating an outline, and how to ask yourself the right questions. Writing as a Business

This in-depth writing course is for writers interested in writing as a business. It will cover production, distribution, and marketing options in detail. Writers will learn how to develop their writing skills, start writing and keep writing, learn how to create a writing schedule, how to set deadlines, and how to overcome writer's block, about rewrites, create dialogue, create a focus group, evaluate feedback, DIY vs. hiring a professional, and creating a path to publication.  Writers will also learn how and where to distribute/market their written work, including a personal website, social media, traditional bookstores, and non-traditional websites. You will also learn about various marketing strategies and potentials costs related to creating a book from start to finish.
